Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams
In KS2 Microsoft Teams will be used as the home learning platform. All classes within KS2 have been using Microsoft Teams in school already so children are aware of their own login details to access Teams. Each child will have their own unique email and 4 digit code to login to Teams.
Microsoft Teams can be accessed various ways from home.
If you are using a laptop/computer by signing into Office 365: https://www.office.com.
If you are using an iPad by downloading the app: Microsoft Teams iOS app.
If you are using android tablet by downloading the app: Microsoft Teams Android app.
Children who are home learning are required to logon everyday to Microsoft Teams and check for any updated assignments.
Please watch the videos below on how to login to Microsoft Teams.
Assignments
Teachers will set home learning tasks using 'Assignments' these can be posted in the general channel or other specific channels created by the class teacher.
Assignments can be completed online by children or even handwritten followed by a picture of the work sent through Teams. If children are using a handwritten method they will have to attach the picture of the work to the assignment using the 'Add Work' button.
When children complete the work they must remember to click the 'Hand In' button to ensure the teacher is notified that the work has been completed.
Please see the documents below for a written guide on using Microsoft Teams.
Free Chat
Teachers and school staff have a responsibility to promote mental health in schools. Often, even small changes can go a long way in helping somebody feel better. We have created a 'Free Chat' channel within Teams for children to keep in touch with friends from their class. This is the only channel which can be used for social chat, any school related issues with assignments can be posted to the general channel.
